1970's Re-issue Stephen Burrows' World (Early 2000's) red halter wrap gown with lettuce ruffle layered trim. Features wrap ties at high waist and signature Stephen Burrows red zig-zag stitching throughout. This style of hem was invented by Stephen Burrows. Double layered red matte jersey fabric forms open drape front, closed with single hook and snap closures. Original seen on Pat Cleveland in multicolor colorway (photographed by Charles Tracy), and featured in Vogue on Diana Vreeland. Similar featured in The Museum of the City of New York. In very good vintage condition with spot underneath layers at bust (not visible when worn).
