1988 Tina Chow carved quartz pendant necklace. Extremely rare semi-sheer curved crystal pendant necklace on black cord, complete with original hand-written care instructions. Tina Chow - model and muse to the most prominent artists in New York in the 1980's, activist and designer - created this extraordinarily rare necklace in the late 1980's as part of her jewelry line. Her understated, androgynous elegance and uniquely chic taste are pervasive in her pieces. She created for only a short time (under five years) before her untimely death. “This pendant is carved from one piece of rock crystal. It is a natural material with its own inclusions. Although it is sturdy, it is also delicate. Treat this with love. Wear this with care - the same way you would wear an emerald, a piece of jade or a piece of glass. If you drop it, it will break. It can chip. Avoid hard surfaces and extremes in temperature.” - Tina Chow
In excellent vintage condition with no flaws to note (extremely minimal wear). Comes with original care note and non-original / generic box and pouch for safe storage.
