S/S 1998 Christian Dior by John Galliano black 'skirt set' dress. Long sleeve collared fitted above-knee dress with slight side slit. Slit pocket above bust and two stamped Christian Dior buttons below bust, with raised built-in 'skirt' and belt loops at waist that create trompe l'oeil 'skirt set' motif when worn. Top has herringbone finish and slight shoulder padding, which contrasts with matte black skirting. Concealed side zip closure. Fabric Contents: 99% Wool and 1% Cashmere blend with 100% Silk lining. As seen on the Resort 1998 runway; note that side slit is shorter than in runway variation, but can be opened further with tailor as desired. In excellent vintage condition with no flaws to note.
