S/S 1983 Mary McFadden purple long sleeve pleated gown. Signature "Marii" pleated construction throughout with fitted waist. Waist paneling points at center front and back, creating uniquely flattering silhouette when worn. Tacking at ends of sleeves creates slightly more fitted effect near wrist, with zip closures at wrists for ease of wear. Fabric contents removed; likely 100% Polyester (Mary McFadden made the majority of her gowns with Poly). As seen on the runway in set variation, and similar featured in Vogue's February 1983 issue. In very good vintage condition with faint spotting at back right waist (unnoticeable unless upon close inspection due to pleated construction).

Waist: 16.5" lying flat (33.0" when worn, no stretch)
Hip: 20.0" lying flat (40.0" when worn); stretches up to 30.0" (60.0" when worn)
Length: 60.8" from shoulder to hemline
