A/W 1984 Pierre Balmain Haute Couture blue gown with silver embroidered and beaded upper. Three-quarter sleeve gown with gathered fitted waist and large bow at left side, featuring blue and silver embellishments and light silver embroidery that form swirl design. Embellishments are asymmetrical across the shoulders and chest and throughout the sleeves. Concealed back zip closure and separate tulle mesh petticoat (can be styled with our without depending on desired skirt volume). Additional hook-and-eye closures at side and snap closures across back. Fabric contents removed; feels like Silk with Nylon interior petticoat. As seen on the runway on Anna Bayle. In very good vintage condition with light wear throughout; faint underarm discoloration at interior and slight wear at shoulders; slight spotting at interior skirting (unnoticeable when worn with exterior dress); one missing interior rhinestone at side of arm.
