Consignment Guide

We look forward to helping you find a new home for your vintage pieces. We take your trust in us to consign your cherished items. Our consignment process is designed to be straightforward and beneficial for both parties. Below you will find a detailed guide and our terms and conditions for consigning with Tab Vintage.

[ How to Consign with Tab Vintage ]

1. CONTACT US:

  •    Email us with details about the piece you wish to consign.
  •    A team member will get back to you within 48 business hours.

2. SHIPPING OR DROP OFF:

  •    We will provide a prepaid shipping label for you to send your item to our Los Angeles studio.
  •    Alternatively, you can drop off the item directly at our studio.

3. INSPECTION:

  • Upon receiving, we will inspect the garment to assess its condition and authenticity.
  •    This includes a thorough check for any flaws, soiling, or necessary repairs.

4. PRICING:

  •    We will recommend a listing price based on our inspection, market research, and historical value.
  •    You, as the owner, have the first right of refusal for the suggested price.

5. CONSIGNOR CONTRACT:

  •    Once a price is agreed upon, we will prepare a consignor contract.
  •    The contract will include pertinent details including: pricing, flaws to note, and any pre-approved repair work.

6. PREPARATION FOR SALE:

  •    We will mend and clean the garment to ensure it is in the best possible condition. An estimate of the cost of any cleaning or repairs will be sent to you, the consignor, with price estimates for approval prior to any work beginning or us consigning.

*NOTE: The cost to clean and mend the garment is taken out of the consignor payout and will be clearly stated in the consignor contract prior to accepting the garment into our care.

  •    Professional photographs will be taken to showcase the piece.

7. PROMOTION & SALE:

  •    Your item will be promoted through our various online channels until it is sold.

*NOTE: Promotion of items will be subject to our content calendar and curated edit forecast. We cannot guarantee a certain date, time, or amount of promotion for garments.

8. PAYMENT:

  •     Once your item sells, you will receive 70% of the proceeds via Zelle or Venmo within 15 days (NET-15) from the date of sale.
  •     Alternatively, you can choose to receive 75% of the proceeds in store credit.
